Welcome to WinterIsle, located in Goose Bay in the 1000 Islands, NY -- just 4 miles east of Alexandria Bay! Your host is Dave Hunt, offering private cottage rentals to boat owners only on his beautiful and tranquil 3-1/2 acre island.

There are 3 rental cottages on the island, and plenty of room to roam! Each cottage has 3 bedrooms - 1 with a queen sized bed, the other 2 with full sized beds. All cottages have been continually remodeled and updated, including kitchens, bathrooms, carpeting, appliances and AAA bedding. All have propane heat.

For your convenience, each kitchen contains a microwave oven, toaster oven, coffeemaker, all necessary pots, pans, dishes, cooking utensils and silverware. Beds have blankets and pillows. Each cottage has it's own porch or deck, gas grill, picnic table and lawn chairs so that you can fully take advantage of the outdoors and enjoy the fabulous views. If you prefer to stay indoors, televisions are provided with DirectTV service. The island also has pure well water for drinking and cooking.

Plenty of boat dockage is available - 40 ft. on the mainland and 80 ft. at the island, where we can accomodate boats up to 36 ft. long. There is a private parking area for vehicles and boat trailers on the mainland.

Your pets are welcome, if they are well-behaved, but NO FLEAS PLEASE!! We require them to be on Advantage or equivalent.

So what do you need to bring? Towels, sheets, pillowcases, clothing, food and beverages. What else is there?! Our fully equipped cottages are ready to move into, so be prepared to relax and enjoy your stay!

"29 Pines"

This cottage sleeps 8 comfortably and has a lovely full porch overlooking Goose Bay -- a perfect view for watching the sunset!

"Wild Winds"

Also sleeps 8 with a full sunporch and an amazing view of the bay.

"Far End"

Once our own cottage, Far End is the largest and sleeps 8 to 10. It offers a larger kitchen than the other cottages and a full deck overlooking the bay.

Dockage

Ample dockage is available at WinterIsle to accomodate up to 36' boats.

To find us, take Rt.81 North to the Alexandria Bay exit (50N) and proceed on Rt.12 North to Alexandria Bay. Drive 4 miles past the traffic signal in Alexandria Bay and watch for the Goose Bay sign. Turn left off Rt.12 onto Goose Bay Road (the public boat launch is straight ahead), then take the only right turn. Our mainland property is next to the 2nd camp on the left. There is plenty of parking for cars, boats and trailers. Looking at the Bay, the island is off to the right and you will see "WINTERGREEN ISLAND" on the rock ledge on the island.

Reservations are accepted on a first come basis, therefore we recommend that you call early to secure your preferred dates. A $300.00 deposit is required to hold your dates, with the balance due two weeks prior to your arrival date (unless other arrangements have been made).

General Information & Availability

Our 2012 season runs from May through October. Check in time is 1:00 p.m., check out is 10:00 a.m., and rentals run from Saturday to Saturday. You will find the cottages clean and orderly upon your arrival and we expect that they will be left in the same condition. To check cottage availability, scroll down to the calendar.
